Yamuna Tir: The Sacred Shore
Description
At the centerpiece of this horizontal composition, Lord Krishna plays his enchanting flute beneath a spreading blossom canopy, with Radha standing devotedly by his side. To the left, a herd of cows gathers in quiet reverence, drawn irresistibly to the divine music. To the right, step-terraced ghats lead down to a pristine, lotus-filled pond where swans glide gracefully. A procession of Gopis (milkmaids) balances heavy earthen water vessels as they traverse the riverside, surrounded by peacocks, stylized palms, and flowering trees.
